My freeroll bankroll  0
Hi guys!

So 3 days ago I won 3 bucks at pacific poker in a freeroll, as I'm always looking to make a free buck, I was quite satisfied with the 3 bucks, not because it's much money or anything, but it was a fresh start for a new bankroll. I had deposited in the past (20$ I believe) but went broke due to bad bankroll management, played too high limits and didn't know when to stop when tilting...

The next day (ie two days ago) I started playing on the lowest limits and playing heads up sng's. By the time I stopped playing I was up to 15$.

Yesterday is what got me "excited" though. I bought into a 2.20$ MTT, 150$ guaranteed, 107 players and a 214$ pot, first place 64$. In the past my goal was never to finish first, all I really wanted was to end in the money and earn my buy-in back, but not this time Smile I struggled, my stack went up & down, I was sort of stuck between the third and tenth place. I managed to make it to the final table with an average stack, but with the blinds so high everyone was in trouble...

In the past I was way too tight at the final table, and with the blinds so high, I would eventually force myself into HAVING to go all in, and thus always losing, but not this time... I went for first place, and had the balls to bet big when I had a hand, call when I felt like calling, and play how I like to play, and well... IT PAID OFF.

When we were down to 3 I had three times the chips of the second player. The other player knocked the third one out, so it was heads up now with me leading in about 10K of chips. He quickly took over the lead, with me getting nothing buy bad beats, till I was down at 40K at one moment, with him leading with about 130K chips. Once more I had the balls to play without fear of losing and took over the chiplead once again, till I finally managed to finish him off, leaving me behind with 64$ Smile

I'm sure it doesn't mean much to you guys, it's only 64$ I know, but I feel I finally evolved to the next level of poker, where I can play without fear to lose my money.

My bankroll is now at 75$, next stop 200$!

Screenshot of the win:

Chiplead with 4 left

Knocked him down to 12K

Then this happened, I raised preflop

I made him go all in on the flop, weird call but lucky once more

And finally the win

Well done on your winnings.

Just remember good bankroll management and you should easily start to grind up some nice figures.

I took my bankroll on FTP from zero to $500 before i cashed out, all in freeroll winnings and ring games. And the pleasure you get from seeing your bank account swollen like that is unreal.

Mind you, the curse of the cash out struck and since then I have struggled to make a cent from it.

Great job. Starting with 0$ is a good achievement i already did that too! But you did not respect the bankrollmanagement again. The tourney that gave you that prize had a buy-in that was not in the limit of your bankrollmanagement. Dont rush the next stop (200$), your next stop should be playing in your limits and growing progressively! Good luck at tables!

Nice performance, we're all learning here & I think you must have learned something from that but be careful because starting from zero and win something is easier than keep the bankroll going on for a long time and eventually keep making profits...

Thats a silly coment we are always ready to hear about some one doing well no matter what level you play at besides you have come from $0 so that is some good going.
Most people start with a lot more and never really get much out of it..You have seen your bankroll grow due to your hard work and inproved stratergy
Imagine where you could be in a years time Question
What about a blog "from $0 to hero"
or a book "how to be a poker millionare for free......."

Keep plugging away and enjoy your win..
Best of luck m8 Thumbs Up

nice one.but a little risky although...i mean with a 15 $ bankroll you really shouldnt be playing 2.20 $ buyin tournaments..you got a little lucky there

but hey congrats on that big step for your bankroll and now just remember: CONTROL YOURSELF! you have now a nice bankroll to start with, dont play on higher limits than the ones your bankroll allows you to.even when you are on tilt..

good luck, keep us informed
