ok don't you hate it when your in a cash prize tournament (online) and the cash prize is like $500 but thats like 3000 entrants or when its only $25 pool but with about 1000 people ohh and one major one is the ept live tournaments RIDCULAS!!!. yes or no i would like to get your opion
P.S. Most of these examples are private tournaments
Of course we have to thank all pokerooms offering freerolls. But I suggest to share pool in some freerolls ( maybe for different countries ) in order to let play all and not to end after 8 or 9 hours.

If you want good low numbers in freerolls then join smaller sites, the prize will be less but you have a better chance and dont have to play for aslong. The stars freerolls make me laugh, why 10k ppl want to play each outher for a chit $ rerun is beyond me, but they do fill within seconds. But id say reach in to your lucy lockets and use your own spondollies and its a much better game.
My answer no, if you aint putting money up then you cant complain about the field. And if you put money in the more the better.
The problem is usually on freerools. If I want to play a freerool I alwas go for the smaller sites or the privat tournaments, were the ration players vs. pricepool are ok.

Personally I dont like tournaments with a lot of players. Honestly I think that the maximum number of players should be 500 players. More than that, makes the MTT boring and it is very difficult to reach the ITM positions! But thats only my opinion!

many freerolls already have limits. On full tilt for example. These fill up in seconds and so you probably would then be complaining you didn't get a chance to register. Party pokerfreeroll doesn't seem to have a limit and there is far too many people playing to make it worth your while. At the end of the day, they're freerolls so you can't complain. Private freerolls usually offer better value except when they're hacked. This is a good argument against password sharing. If you post the password or read it on a sharing site you can't complain about bad value freerolls.

Of course that you can't complain about the amount of players in a freeroll. Did you pay anything to enter that tournament? No. Did you have any prerequisites to be able to qualify for the tournament (like deposits, earned points and such)? No. Therefore you did not give absolutely anything to the poker site, and they are giving you a chance for free money... complaining about it is a bit bitchy.

Well, for free rolls, it is unpreventable that there will be lots of players for that. Everyone joining to think of winning, and we are free to be in tournament, of course there will be lot of people.

I think it depends on the tourny and the buy in as low limmit high volume like playin for 5-6 hours and missing the bubble for $1 aint good for the moral....
In most of the cases the majority of players taking part in freerolls have no right being there in the first place. THe passwords are leaked out by lousy low life scum who think that because its free then everyone has a right to enter them.
Personally i would much prefer to see pokersites taking stiffer action against those that take part in games they have no rights playing in. If someone is found to be playing in a private game that they shouldnt be in I think the poker sites should ban them instantly.
Take the EPT freerolls last week. In once case over 3000 people were registered before the password was even released. One person leaks it to his mate, who tells two mates, and before long most of those taking part havent even bothered watching the EPT live like they were supposed to. One person even leaked it on here..
So for me, dont restrict the numbers, start banning those that shouldnt be there. Once their acccounts are closed and their bankrolls taken off them, they'll soon stop invading the events and teh numbers will fall down to only those that should play in them.
