Was this the right play to fold my AA on the all in, just to wait for the money, or should I have called because playing with them for over an hour showed tham as aggressive players calling with any pair.

Already raised 8x BB pre-flop. Would think that would get rid of the K7 off. To put your tourney live on the line pre-flop just don't make sense to me, except when you are one of the small stacks.

Raise more preflop. You don't want to play AA against half the table. And if they like to call, raise MUCH more. Against 3 opponents it is difficult postflop, but your minraise will do nothing.

I think with pocket AA you should play more agressive, raise more on preflop or allin on flop.

In freerolls, you cant expect other people to play their best, so no worries, ALL-IN. 32 players left is still far away from the money (>$1) or a seat to another tournament.

------------
By the way, I have stopped playing the freerolls unless I find one with less than 500 players in it. TOO MUCH WORK!

32 left, 20 payed. Not that far from the money. Maybe we can even cruise into the money, if that table is typical for the chip distribution. And that mindset may have lead to the passive play in this hand.

It's always hard to fold AA
I prefer to play this hand in a donky way and go all in after flop or, if someone raises my bet, go all in pre flop.

I am afraid that late in the game, theres only one optiion. And thats to wham the whole lot in the middle pre flop and hope to get a caller...

Should of raised more on the flop. 12K into 100K pot, two callers and all you do is min raise. Straight on board. They are priced in to call. You know nothing more from your bet. With that kind of raise everyone knows you ain't going for the flush. Seat one sees a good time to bluff. If he had made his flush he could quite possibly of check-raised. You should have been far more aggressive with em aces

I would have went all in preflop with those aces or at least play much more aggressive with aces...
You would have driven the bad hands out of the round! and would have been more secure with your AA

raise more to push out most of the drawing hards is the way to go but sitting there with AA hoping to get payed out wont work so youve got to take it to them every chance you get.
i often see people over playing poor hands but i belive its hard to over play AA in a multiway pot after a flop like that if youd pushed out the drawing hands youll just have to deciffer if anyone had trips. big bet if your raised or called get ready to dump. Thumbs Down

Actually this is a quite dangerous flop for aces. A lot of two pair or pair and an oesd type of hands possible. Not to speak from the flopped straight with KT.

Think the raise pre-flop wsa ok unless you expected them to call.
The raise on the flop is horrid(24 for 150+), but unless you had Ah you gotta fold the river.

Thanks for all the replies. Can c now where and when I made the mistake. Next time will play more aggressive and raise pre and post flop more. My Inisial idea was to play more aggressive post flop but saw a few danger cards and got the jitters. Those damn AA get crackt so many times that I try to play them the same way as pocket 10's or J's. Well atleast I made it to 7'th plase and got a few $$$ Big Smile

pot is 96k seat5 bets 12k and 2ppl just call with flush draw str8 draw on board. At this point these guys are showing u ultimate weakness and the pot is now 132k and all u do is min raise to 24k. I would call that extra 12k with any pair and even just 1 over card. I would just take that 132k right there by pushing all in b4 seeing a shitty card like the card on the turn there is too many draws out there to let ppl in that cheaply. Any1 that didn't have much has to bluff at that pot when there is 1 card needed for a str8 seat1 made a good play by going all in as he had nothing and that card on the turn scares evry1. If I have nothing and an 8 10 K or a Heart comes out I will represent it. If I had the AQ I wouldn't call unless I no this guy will bluff at this pot for sure, so good read.

But I gotta say the person that played this hand the most horrible is u. You played the flop completly wrong.

i would have raised his bet preflop 5 or 6 times and allin postflop.
cause you are near the money with a good stack and have best pair; you don't want any risk so be more aggressive: if everyone fold your stack is better than first without any risk for u if someone call you are already allin so just wait til tha river without any doubt on what to do
