ive been doing a bit of research on both of the above mentioned and with out having ever used either can someone who has plz tell me if they are worth the effort?? also if you could explain any probs with them like mis caculations. should i start using these??

I like to use a tracker and for low/medium cash tables I'd say they are essential - especially if you multi table.
I've tried Tornament Indicator and Holdem Indicator they're basically the same accept HI can be used in cash games as well as torneys but it doesn't have the colour coded M-rating for the players stack sizes. They're both good programs but only have a few players stats and eventually I had to move on to a better program.
Since then I've tried Poker Tracker, Poker Edge and Holdem Manager, which along with Poker Office are the market leaders in poker tracking software and are the only programs I'd recommend using.
I found Holdem Manager to be the best, for me at least, and subsequently bought it. I have been very happy with it since.
Poker Tracker and Holdem Manager both offer free trials and Poker Edge offers a free 3 months if you sign up to a site through there web site. So why don't you trial them and see if you like them.
Poker Edge is illegal on some sites but if used properly the site can't tell if your using it.
If your solely a torney player then Tournament Indicator may serve you well too, but for caash games I'd say they are a poor second to the "big four"
TI and HI both have the advantage of been compatible with a wider range of sites so if you play at some of the smaller sites, which can be very profitable, due to nobody else using a tracker there then one of them maybe worthy of investment too.

just earn 1000 partypoints and buy pokertracker 3, i think this is really the best program to use. Didnt use a better one yet has all features and is really easy to use
does not support cash games though. It shows your winning odds against other hands etc...
