haha i made the same experience! I got also 10 free dollars; played with the hole 10 dollars on a NL 0,05/0,10; third hand: i got Å one guy was raising to 40 cent; i reraise to 1,20; he all in (preflop) with 9 and Ten offsuited! what happened: i lost because he got the straight...bravo
I have just started playing at party poker (2 days ago), I HATE the software, it's way to slow and every time you got to click that refresh button and stuff, and to get points at the 10NL tables takes for ever . As soon as I get my bonus (which probably is going to take a while) I'm out of there.
the players are the same as on every big pokersite, or they are sharks or they are donkeys and bad beats happen on a regular basis.
edit: today I got KK, and the guy pushed with TT, he made runner runner straight 2 hands after that I flopped the nuts flush, dude puts me all in on the flop, i call, he shows a set, off course he makes runner runner full.

ive said it before and will again Party poker is the site with most bad beats of all time! I think they are Rewarding Bad players for Bad play just to keep them there for the rake!

You take many bad beats at Party Poker because real money players look like playmoney players. They pay with any two, and sometimes get lucky.
True more fishes means more bad beats. But when your strong hand holds you get paid for it and for the last bad beat.

Party poker has lots of donkeys, yes, but no more than any other site. I'd say Stars has MORE donks, and you'll prbably find the players on Party play on all other sites too, so they're no different. Maybe you lot are the donks? Playing your free $10 and expecting it to turn into $100's in days?
I like their software, it's better looking than most other sites with the new themes. You're better off playing the $6+ sngs instead of the $3 ones. Less donks, better play.

Might be true that there are a lot of fish, but my AK always loses to their 10 J ! ALWAYS! I've lost $75 on partypoker just because of that. So I stopped playing after the freerolls for beginners ended. PP's freeroll are a joke if you have an old account.

Funny, because my AA and KK alyways lose on Poker stars. Always! I could fold for one hour all the muck I am dealt, then I get KK, and of course someone always has AA - if not they will have QQ, JJ, TT, 88 .... and hit the set on flop! every time.
The worst network and software IMO is iPoker, ANY of the sites that use it. I call it miracle card heaven for the donkeys. The players are awful. A lot of new players from europe joined iPoker over the past 2 - 3 years and they're terrible and ignorant and abusive. not only that they push at all the wrong times, out of position, totally against any kind of advised play methods, and they still hit those miracle cards.
So saying Party is worse than the rest is nonsense.
As for the graphics on Party, I like the look of the 'Lounge' new theme with the alternative, modern cards. Has a fresh, modern style about it. And I've never found it to be slow, muct be your connection.
Don't get me wrong, i have suffered bad beats on Party, i don't play there as much as I do on Ladbrokes or Pacific, but it's a nice option to have. Also, they have one of the better casinos

I agree, at many platform there's a lot of fish, it depends on the limit. But I have also noticed that on Party there is indeed a lower level that f.e o fulltilt

One thing I can say about Partypoker is their cash out speed, to moneybookers is the best I've seen.
I won an Omaha mtt on there yesterday and decided to cash out $60 of my $135 winnings, I thought it might go through within 3 days or so ...3 hours later it was in my MB account!! 3Hrs! That is bloody good service, whatever about the fishies

I love playing at party, the beats are pretty savage sometimes but I made $300 out of their free cash and as KG1975 says the cash out to money bookers is s**t hot quick.
after suffered again some crazy bad beats today, I went to play some Double up or nothing sng's, I opened four 6$ (not knowing what the rake is, because it's not showed in the lobby) I won 3/4 but to my surprise I only got 30$ back instead of 36$, they charge 1$ rake for a 6$ sng OMG!! I am shocked. (I was happy about the fact that these sng's were FILLED with donkeys who went all with ATo so it's not that hard to win, but still 20% rake is just to much).
