I just want to know is it me with bad luck or does everyone get badly beaten by donks !! Im sick of it, Im actually thinking about giving up online poker and just playing it live, take for example I was playing a standard SnG and on the first hand I hit the pocket rockets, I was in late position and before me some DONK raised 360 with 10-7 off and the blinds where only 10-20, so I pushed for chips and went all in, the guy called me down, the flop came: 9 3 2 the turn: 8 and the dreaded river: J . How bad is that !! . Right guys let me know how you get on, all replies welcome!

Posted by doomdy: Yesterday, i had 99, guy limped, i raised 3BB, he called, FLOP 2 9 Q. Both allin, Turn 3, river 6. He had QQ btw. Never expected QQ, limp-call QQ wtf
I know, its far from a badbeat, but was so dissappointed
Haha a limp call with QQ, whats all that about...I would also be very dissapointed Doomdy, i guess online poker will never change !
So what sites do you like to play on or which one is your regular ? I tend to play Full Tilt and Cool Hand Poker most of the time.

I play 100% on PKR for allmost a year now. Nice donks and littl fishys
Yeah, I have similar situations from time to time... unfortunately.
When I started to play poker I've lost my whole bankroll a few times because of deep downswings ending with going to play higher stakes that I should (bankroll management) and I simply tilted. Nowadays when I'm having a bad beat or a deeper downswing I close the poker software and I go out. When I come back I play again my "A poker" and usually everything gets back to normal.

when u both hit a set ur screwed. i wouldnt call this a bad beat, only if he hit a q after the flop since he was always ahead in this hand.

There are donks and fishes everywhere, but thats nice for the good players! Some bad beats happen, but in the long run, the good players get enough money from the fishes...

Lol. I think i could write a big book only with my ridiculous bad beats! Unfortunately it happens to everybody, the thing you have to think is that the bad beat is the exception, if you play well you will win more than you will lose! remember that!

sadly when playing sit n go's, normally a good idea never to risk all your chips no matter what you are dealt, evenwith A A. every hand has the possibility of being beaten ~ which means you gamble your place with every all in. we all play our own game, but in sit n go's i prefer to build my stack slowly ~ and then if / when i get a premium i know i can play it ~ even if someone pushes all in ~ i dont gey knocked out which still gives me a shot at the money. Think of it as a sorta bankroll managment system. stick to your game plan and play your game, dont let the donks suck you into thier game play, and if you notice players making call's with premium hands to try and trap~ make a note on them, and hopefully next time you'll have the nuts with them the underdog. not preaching just sharing experience. Poker has taught me a lesson in humility many a time
Yes you are the only one who had ever suffered from a bad beat!! But seriously, thats the game. You can get unlucky, but at the end of the day , if you are playing with a proper bankroll and are a decent player you will make it all back and then some!!!

Oh my, just had a bad one! 20 player s&g, i was chipleader with about 6000 chips 13 players left. I get AA, raise to 4x the bb and get 1 caller with a stack of 2200 chips.
flop comes out 4 A K, 2 spades tho so i bet the pot. The other guy thinks for a while and pushes! i obviously call! he shows KQo! im about 98% ahead here
turn: j river: 10!!!!!
what pisses me of more than this hand is that this idiot managed to get to the last 3 with my chips and his insane luck

Ouch, these bad beats are really annoying... Earlier today I had a bad beat where I lost with AA to KK, we both re-raised each other preflop and went all in, well... then he floped two kings and it was over for me...no aces for me, s**t happens

That's poker alright, s**t happens. Sometimes I even feel it happening. That's why I play with low stakes to keep it fun, imagine losing $200 AA vs KK, you'd be pissed

Hi,
I just wanted to say, that I also had a terrible day 2 days ago, for example: I have K Q , button raises, I call. Flop: J , T (d), A , He then raises, I reraise allin, he call, turn - 3 , river... A hmm...
Another situation, MTT, stage ~ 15, I have A Q , loose player from button raises 5BB, the range I give him, is just too wide, to not let him double me up I reraise all in, he calls with Q 7 . The flop comes three diamonds, I loose my entire stack, and out of MTT.
So, you're not alone, in these situations I suggest you just to chill out a couple of hours, or a day, if its completely ruining your game.
Best of luck man.
------------ By the way, I forgot to write - he had JJ
