i have played online poker now for about 3 years (1 year as a depositer) im of course still learning the game and play in tournaments mostly. i am learning at a good rate but there always seems to be someone in the hand with for instance 4 7 os and they win. i know you need to spot donks yourself but sometimes it just goes against you (or in my case nearly always). so my question is should i be a donk.

If people are willing to play a hand with 74o, you should make them pay for playing by raising more preflop. Bleed them dry preflop, and don't pay them off with just one pair.

If ur a losing player after 3 years (i dont know in ur case) ur not a donk you just have to learn more about poker. But in general be happy if someone wants to play you with 74o

i think there is no recipe vs such people? if you raise to high then no one will call or he has a real strong hand and you still put him on a marginal hand. i exactly did that and lost with kings to 39o...that guy hit the 3 and kept calling (no matter if pot/overpot bet) all the time lol, of course on river he got his drilling then. now it comes....long run....but it doesnt help ME if hes a losing player and his BR is near zero, while i lost my winnings that ive been working hours for lol. that just hurts.....well thats poker.
i think the best is if you was able to show your hand like " look dude, if you keep calling then it breaks your neck" ...but i think even then he would answer " nah its ok man, i still have the chance to hit my drilling"

If its always happening id be trying to find out why the "donks" want to play you, you might find its you at fault. Should you be a donk, no, you should find away to milk them or avoid them, normally milk but in a tourn it depends.
