If you keep playing poker while you get older you'll have more experience unless your to stubborn to learn and improove your game. So in my opinion the time you have spent playing poker and being open to learn are the most important factors alongside with talent, intellect etc.

I think poker skill depends on experience and talent both. there are many guides available to tell you what to do in which condition but you have to learn how to do that and it takes time to do that and master them.

There are a lot new youngsters playin uber-aggresiv winning huge amounts off money online/live. They dont play like ''the books'' from 10 years ago. Poker has changes a lot during the years, so when years run you also have to change your game trying still be on top off it.

Think its more about mentality than age, donks and pros come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and ages, you could arguee that a young person is going to take more risks, but than an older person would know that as he is wiser so the effect cancels each outher out. I think the only real diffrence is a young person will be more willing to change his game as he gets older and plays more, and i belive older players are kinda stuck in there ways.

In live games wich take many many hours to play a person must be in good physical condition ... doyle brunson said last years WSOP europe(i think) that it was a relief he was eliminated because he was so tired and exhausted.

either you have in the blood or not. of couse as longer you play as more experience you gain. otherwise there´s players who play poker for over 40 years and they´re still average. i think you have to like what your doing then you will always get good at it - and some intact braincells do not harm either

I think one thing, with more age we are more calm, but when we are young we have more phisicall strenght. Phisical strenght is important to resist to several hours of big concentration and some adrenaline and stress.
So ages in range 20-40yrs are in my opinion the best to play professional poker.
25-40 i think, young player is taking poker to seriously because he want to be a great poker player, older people can controll it, they have more experience

I've noticed the older the player the more paticent and observant the player ussually is. There are always acceptions but these to traits often can lead to a more skilled player. That said I've often seen that older players are often more causious which can often be exploited if played correctly.
Experience is important but i don't think older you are better you playe (if someone started to play when he was 13??). It also depends on your learning skills, if you learn fast you will become a better player in a short time...
