just wondering if anyone wanted to tell about there over-all profit ....I consider myself a mediocre player....usually start playing small tables with $30 dollars or so bankroll - get it up to a hundred or so..then before i know it...it is down to 0 again....

I would assume i am down a few hundred dollars over the last 2-3 years - not counting the free money that I got thru BRM...

Is this normal...at times i think its rigged...but i have come to the conclusion that it is just a game...and i need to play just for fun....penny ante poker Big Smile

If I was down a few hundred I wouldn't really call myself a mediocre player. A mediocre player is some-one who has a small profit every month imo. I think you need to get the bankrollmanagment sorted out and force yourself to stick to your BRM strategy. If you are able to make a hundred out of 30$ means you understand the game, now the only thing you have to learn is managing the money and the profit will grow instead of getting lost. (try searching BRM strategy posts on this forum, I remember there were some really good ones posted a little while ago). Good luck in the future Smile.

I can say that in the last 2 years i had profit of 350$ or something. I know it is not much, but i only play poker in some periods. The periods like vacations or when i do not have work. So my tactic is deposit and withdraw small profits 50$ or 45$ or 60$. something like that!

Since you consider yourself a mediocre player the most important thing for you is bankroll management, when u lose too much shift to lower limits. and above all you should have fun if you are unable to have profit.
poker has ups and downs, so don't be disheartened by it.

If you lose all your money "before you know it", you are playing to high. You can't win every hand. So apply a bit of bankrollmanagement.

I don't like to mention actual amounts but my ROI is around 17 %. Don't know if it's good or not.

most people win a lot and then lose it all, I myself am one just like you, same story.
But I just quit poker online and play for fun again

I usually make a couple hundreds dollars every month but when i go to higher limits NL50-NL100 i start lossing. So for a moment i stuck at NL25 and not going anywhere till i perfect my game.

just take it as it comes.play to your abilities and dont over do it.it all sounds so easy doesnt it.play to how ever you fell comfortable and having a bit of cash behind you is good to.something i lack.

After playing for about a year or two i was down about $200, no i'm up $800.
I did not take the losses of no deposit bonusses into account.
