I managed to go up from zero to 15 on Party Poker a couple of times, by persistent playing teh freerolls. I dont know whut is a (size) a nice BR for you too... Well, lets wait the exp's dudes to post out.

Take some offers here and grind out a bankroll or two. Start with the bonuses that give you some money to work with. Titan, Mansion, Full Tilt, Action. Take one of those.

get a no deposit bonus on the sites offered by bankrollmob(you can get all bonuses eligible for your country) and try clearing the bonus by earning points there. once you clear it you can withdraw it and deposit it on another site for deposit bonus/rakeback or you can keep playing there if you like that site. And imp tricks- always follow bankroll management and never gamble your bonus money.
Not takin the pee or owt am bein serious. Read books. U have no choice but to invest in this game to make anything out of it. And i dont just mean $. Time, willingness to learn, take beats etc. If it were easy everyone would be doin it. I dont agree free-rolls are the way to build a roll. They can be a bit of fun but u will prob end up more frustrated and learn bad habits, sure you may get lucky but when the money is out of peoples pockets- evn at the lower levels- thats where u will learn more. All the best - theres plenty of good reading material out there- theres some sound advice from the people on this site if u surf about a bit

please take the majority of freerolls for what they are- a freeroll is for you to experience what rake paying players expereince everytime they load up a pokersite. nothing more nothing less.
i really am struggling to see how anyone could build a BR from it...
saying that last month stars had a $100,000 GTD freeroll for UK players..

I don't think there is any "easy" way to build a bankroll, but it can be discussed what is the quickest Cashgame/tournament/SNG's?
Personally I would only recommend tournament if you are very skilled and experienced in multitable tournaments. Otherwise the variance isjust to big and your free bankroll may not be that big - to survive a variance
I normally myself play SNG's since I have practically no experience at all with Cashgames. But if you have decent cashgameskills I believe this is the smartest way. Play so you can afford playing at three tables at once - in that way you can survive bad beats on at least one of the tables. Instead of taking all your money in at one table at a higher level potentially risking everything in your bankroll on one hand.
