EPT Deauville: World champion failed to bluff - left tournament in disappointment

The world champion, Peter Eastgate was so disappointed when he failed to bluff one of his opponents that he decided to leave the EPT Deauville tournament and go back home to Denmark.

The Danish world champion entered EPT Deauville Day 1b. So far his last 2 years has been success and glory as he became the youngest player ever to win the WSOP Main Event 2008 and just won PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $5,000 side event. But this time Peter Easgate didn't have the luck on his side and after that he tried to bluff in a big pot and got called down by a high pair he was suddenly out of the tournament. Eastgate was so disappointed after this hand that he decided not to play in the highroller tournament as planned. Instead he left the hotel in Deauville and went straight back home to Denmark to recharge the batteries for EPT Copenhagen that takes place in the end of February.

Probably Eastgate didn't show his hand... Smile But would be nice if someone can find the hand and post it here...so we can see the community cards and speculate a bit Smile

U ALWAYS GET CAUGHT ON THE BLUFF, WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT TO AND ALWAYS AT THE WRONG MOMENT

In a tourney there is no "right time" to get caught on a bluff.

Yeah, I agree with shokaku, but I wouldnt have bluffed with all my chips and then feel dissapointed. As a champion he knows the risk of bluffing, so he should have accepted that it went wrong. Period
I dont see him complaining when his bluffs go well Blink

But there are definitely better times to get called down than other times.
