A new poker show on NBC - "Face the Ace"

Posted on 01 May 2009 by "T".

NBC has just announced that they will soon air a new poker show called "Face the Ace". Host of the show will be no one less than "The Sopranos" actor Steve Schirripa. The show will be called "Face the Ace" and the premiere will be on Saturday, August 1st at 9 pm ET.

In the new NBC show "Face the Ace" that will be aired for the first time on 1st August, normal people will have the chance to play against some of the world's best poker players and at the same time have the chance to win some serious cash. But of course it wont be an easy task to win against the pros in "Face the Ace" since it only will be Full Tilt pros. Phil Ivey, Erick Lindgren, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, just to mention a few.

How will it work?
The contestants will be placed in front of four smoked-glass doors and then have to choose one of them. Behind each door there will be a poker pro that the contestants have to face in a No-Limit hold'em heads-up match. If the contestants manage to beat the poker pro he/she will have the option to keep the money won so far or to face next poker pro and have the chance to win more money. If the contestants manage to beat 3 poker pros he/she will win $1 million US dollars!

How can I take part?
You can qualify online at Full Tilt poker through their satellites for just a few dollars and have the chance to win $1,000,000 if you mange to beat 3 pros in "Face the Ace".

Interested in a $100 no deposit bonus at Full Tilt and play the "Face the Ace" satellites?

beating 3 pro's to win $1,000,000 is not easy but it can be done by anyone running good Big Smile

I wonder how the blind structure is... it must be deep for sure.

It seems to me as an excellent program and an escellent idea! I think we can count with a lot of audience! The format of the program is great. Winning against 3 pros is difficult but it can be done! I would love having that oportunity!!

Seems really interesting and I would watch it if I can.
Unfortunately here in Italy we have only one show on public tv and, of course, at 1.00 a.m. on saturday night......
