Full Tilt Poker $25K Heads-up Championship

On the 23rd of May it is once again time for the yearly Full Tilt Poker Heads-up Championship. The buy in for this tournament is $25.000 which means that there will be some really good players in this tournament looking to make a good score.

Last time this tournament was played the FullTilt professional David Singer took down the title. During 2008 FullTilt also hosted a similar event but instead of NL Texas Holdem they played PL Omaha. In the PLO Event last year the Swedish high stakes profile "slaktarn" took down the even and the first prize of $560.000.

It will be very interesting to see who will be the last man standing in this years event.

There is a lot of strategy going on in HU, you got to play with your opponents mind, mess him up.

Depends on the format. If you start deep, and the blinds rise slowly, it is a lot of strategy. If not, it is an all-in battle.

It should be a very interesting championship. I never watched it before, although i've heard a lot about it, through all the publicity they made. Anyone have an idea of the number of players in a tournament like this? Anyone from BRM is considering participating? Don't forget to let everybody from here know. You'll have, at least, a lot of supporters!!!

@shokaku

True, but the blinds are supposed to be very small when you are playing HeadsUp. Otherwise you are not playing poker, just like regular NL holdem

Frankly, how many good poker players (but not so successful) have so much money to play heads up?

A former FTOPS winner took it down by defeating a Full Tilt Pro there, big congrats way to show that his previos big wins was not just some luck.
