WSOP 2009 is here!

Today is the opening day of the 40th Edition of the World Series of Poker. This is going to be celebrated by having a special even where the buy in is $40.000. This tournament is going to be played on Thursday at 18:00 CET.

The opening event that is held today has a buy in of $500 and it is only open to casino employees.

The 2009 WSOP consists of 57 different events, ten out of these events have a buy in of $10.000 and then there is the $40K NL Holdem Event and also the $50.000 buy in H.O.R.S.E. event where Scotty Nguyen acted like a donkey last year.

Yes it would be nice but I thnk that I'm not it that leage for the foreseeable future.

Having seen teh way Eastgate lucked his way to it last year I would say that anyone has a chance of winning it..

Never have I seen a player get so much luck in all my life

Im glad to ear that. The great poker live tournament of the world starst today! I am curious to see how the poker pros will behave in this tourney how many of them will reach the ITM positions! I have my hints. I hope we can watch good poker! Smile

Having seen teh way Eastgate lucked his way to it last year I would say that anyone has a chance of winning it..

He was def running hot but he was NL5K HU pro before he won so im sure he got some skills too Smile

I wasn't able to watch anything of the WSOP beggining yesterday, but i have already looked for some pics on the net and it seems to be starting fine. Poker world is very different from other sports: in so many posts, i haven't read one in wich someone would write "Go durrr" or "This is Gus Hansen's year".
