HighStakes - report for last week: Phil Ivey wins big!

Posted on 27 April 2010 by "T".

Another week at the high stakes tables in now in the books. It was maybe not the most interesting week this year, even though so many big names played. Three players that were running extremely well last week were Phil Ivey ($1,289,691), Tom "durrrr" Dwan ($961,325) and Patrik Antonius ($666,711). It was a while ago since we saw such big names in top 3 of the weekly winners list.

Number 1 in the list of losing players is Ziigmund. What happened to Illari "Ziigmund" Sahamies? He was running so good in the beginning of the year, and now he's losing millions in no-time! I hope that Ziigmund can stop this loosing streak and get back in business. Well, its not the first time this happens to him, so I'm sure he knows how to deal with it.

TOP 5 winners and losers (18-25 April)
1. Phil Ivey, $1 289 691
2. durrrr, $961 325
3. Patrik Antonius, $666 711
4. Brian Townsend, $396 008
5. luckychewy, $295 230

1. Ziigmund, -$1 783 155
2. Nizot Skizared, -$425 623
3. Gus Hansen, -$355 482
4. theASHMAN103, -$311 884
5. UarePileous, -$281 713

Thats a sick amount to lose in a week.

I would be able to live my current student lifestyle for another 163 years with $1,700,000

My god, Ziigmund, -$1,7M! I don't believe he was worried. He knows poker is like a roller coaster ... last month he wins ... this month he loses

Hansen isn't on a downswing. The other players at that level are better in cash games.

To most of the pro's at this level, 1.7 million is a very small percentage of their bankroll.

that's just one little buy in for him Smile)

It always depends how much the whole cash they got...
I would love to know how much cash they have so we could know what is 1,7 milion for them.
