Durrrr finally back in Vegas

Tags: Durrrr, Phil Ivey, WSOP.
Posted on 27 June 2012 by "J".

Last year it was Phil Ivey, who during the WSOP was conspicuous by his absence. And this year it is Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan, who previously preferred games in Macau rather than grinding the tournaments full time in the desert state.

It is, however, changed a short time ago, which means that I suppose all the major nosebleeders are gathered in Las Vegas.

"Back in Vegas. It is 6 months ago, sick life," Durrrr writes short and well on his twitter.

The american has been following the big cash games around the world for the last year, so I guess besides the great One Drop tournament there might come some good stories from Bobby's or Ivey's Room, now the whole gang is together.

macau businessmen decided to pay expenses of a private jet back to usa for dwan- they calculated that this was a cheaper option than letting him stay back in macau and empty their pockets even more. tough life when you are winning- you are losing so many opponents when luck is on your side

Yeah just read the new..

After 6 months away from home :S I would love to see the cash games results of these players.. wish there was a tracker for them would be really awesome to see what kind of profit/losses these guys actually have.

Does anyone knows about his balance on this tour in Macau? Things must have run well in the beginning, that made him stay for maybe longer than he first thought. And the action there must be fabulous for players like durrrr, or else he wouldn’t be there for so long. Playing against new and unknown players must have given him a great background in terms of its own strategy in the tables. He is now a refreshed player, summing a lot of new experiences that improved his games skills. Thinking about it, this could have worked as an intensive train to the One Drop. Do we have a favorite here?

I reckon he made a packet in Macau and is probably after a change of scenery.

Vegas is where he knows no doubt he's been missing a bit.

Good to habituate yourself to the environs before playing in the one drop

I like him as hes as good as Phil in the LAG type poker styles? I'm sure he's more on to it than it seams (good actor on tables? slow play's etc) haven't seen him play for long time though

It seems that after black friday the games at Vegas started to move a bit better so it makes sense for Durrrr to go there Smile

He always was a cash game player really so it makes sense to go to Vegas instead of WSOP.

I would like to see Durr in a new High Stakes Poker season, that yes would be awesome, with a line of great players like the program had some years ago, or with the new guns!
A program with: Durr, Phil Ivey, Bloom, Sahamies, hellmuth, PA, Negreneau, and dario minelli would be awesome!
