113 players paid the buy-in of €25,000 and entered the High Roller Event at EPT Monte Carlo. As you can imagine there were quite a few notables! Just to mention a few,Gus Hansen, Tony G, Barry Greenstein, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Rousso.

Anyhow, Day 1 of the High Roller Event has now passed. 41 players will return today to play Day 2 of the tournament. Among these players we find notables such as ElkY, Gus Hansen, Tony G, Sorel Mizzi etc. In the chip lead is Tobias Reinkemeier (457,300) with Luke Scwartz (300,500) and Markus Goiser (291,000) close behind.

The total prize pool is €2,825,000. In other words, lots of money up for grabs! But these guys are used to these kind amounts, so they will for sure treat this tournament just like any other major tournament and play their game.

Maybe is this the real tournament; so may champions play together, also because only top players can face buy in amount Blink

That is how you get a pro to win a big tourney: make the buy in so high that only pros can afford to play the tourney. Blink

Hello everybody!
It's clear it's easier to play without pressure with a buy-in paid by the sponsor.
See you soon for new posts lol!

With a field like that i wouldnt be suprised to see final table pay. FIrst place likely taking about 1 million from the prize pool. But these numbers are pure speculation

normaly 10% of the players make the money in this cas normaly 10 to 11 people should make money and i agree this tourney is like one of the event of the wsop with a buy-in of 40 000$$$$

Too bad Viktor Blom didn't win. Would have been fun to see him flush away his winning on full tilit Smile!

obviously a lot of money will be grabs if the buyin is so high, but it will reduce the number of players too. so the first place will be winning a lot.

Have I missed the buy in? LOL.

WOW. Wouldnt it be ace to be able to buy in at that level. Keep on dreaming....or rather...playing and doing your best BRM'ers.
