PokerStars Sunday Million 10th Anniversary had a guaranteed prize pool of $10,000,000 when it was about to start yesterday. But the prize pool ended up even bigger ($12,423,200) as a field of 62,116 players joined the tournament and created one the biggest online tournaments ever.
After about 14 hours of play the tournament went on a break and the remaining 6 players made a deal. The one who walked away with the biggest cash and also won the tournament was First-Eagle ($1,146,570). A player called Dimedoll took home the second biggest cash ($995,996) and finished in 5th place. Below are the final table results:
1) First-Eagle, $1 146 570 2) Unstoffable, $580 724 3) BLAABAR, $709 896 4) Mark "tunafish919" Saber, $627 317 5) Dimedroll, $995 996 6) Tristan "SkunkDen" Bain, $758 986 7) fireballdio, $182 406 8) kaalen, $119 886 9) yokouno1980, $86 512

14 hours is nothing really, i know 10.000 people tournaments that last longer than that lol
On such a participation is clearly that luck had a major component here...

Posted by mascona: PS software is definitly rigged and there is no point to use any poker knowlage, because you can win big only by makeing some stupid /complitely unlogical/ moves and suck out from your opponent. |

great field, shows that even in these times when online poker is on a decline pstars still manage to attract players from the whole world...great job from pstars- and a nice payday for the winner- wonder how much tax will he pay?

Well, since US players can't play, and afaik the US is like the only country that actually taxes lottery/gambling winnings, I'd venture a guess and say zero/very little.
IMO, the fact that the US even taxes lotto/gambling winnings is piss poor. I mean they don't let you use lottery tickets as tax write offs, now do they?

i dunno. i was perusing stars today and saw first-eagle playing a whole slew of mtts. Maybe to soak up the glory but he lost a whole lotta cool factor for winning 1.16m on monday morning and playing more mtt's the next day.
I mean would any of you be playing poker with that cheddar? the next day?

I played it too - stayed on bout 5 hours and finished in 20k players. Card dead the whole time, picked up once AA,KK,QQ,JJ - managed to double with aces and lost the rest of the races lol.
Tbh - if someday ill make it to final table, I would never make a deal. Why? Because it is once in a lifetime chance and if you wont take the risk and dont have the nerve to play it til the end, then poker my friend is not for you.
Played "the bigger" also that night and after 10 hours finished it in ft out of 10k players - no deals were made lol.
Anyone up this sunday for 1m event? Im in anyways

No offence, but you do realize you are from germany, the biggest luckbox country in the whole wide world lol, so who are you to criticize someones game in final table?
If you cannot make profit on a biggest site on the net with loads of fishes then where else do you make it??

I played in this by satellite, I one a seat in the freeroll and having not played much in the last year, I had lost touch with deep stacks and with game play even though I knew it would be a 14 - 15 hour SLOG. Oh well there is always a Sunday Million. Congrats to all the winners.
