The EPT Prague main event kicked off yesterday and saw a field of 234 players. After a long day of poker (8 one-hour levels), 133 players still had chips left and they will return tomorrow to the tournament room at the Hilton.

The one who managed to accumulate most chips during Day 1a is Vedzizhev Beslan from Russia. With 131,200 chips he has a small lead over Jesus Cortes, from Spain, with 131,200. And only 1 chip behind Cortes is Sergey Baburin with 131,100. These 3 players are closely followed by several players, so it's impossible to predict how things will go during Day 2.

Unfortunately not a lot big names in the poker world made it through Day 1a. Let's hope that Day 1b, which begins in a few hours, will generate a few more renowned players will plenty of chips.

Not so many entrants for the main event only 234 players, I tought it would attract 500 plus entrants, the first prize is not much I think.

I actually tried to see what will be the prizes but i couldn't find a link but i guess you are right considering there are under 500 participants.

A good thing is that it will end pretty quick Smile

Pitty, I did expect over the 300. Oh well hopefully the livestreams will be good near the final tables Smile
