The investor and poker player David Einhorn has bought a significant share of the Baseball Team New York Mets. Einhorn is best known for being an extremely successful trader of hedge funds. His biggest tournament cash was at the 2006 WSOP Main Event where he ended up in 18th place for $650,000, which he donated to charity.

It's not yet official how big part of New York Mets Einhorn now owns. According to different rumors, he has bought 49% of the company for $200,000,000. If the rumors are true, Einhorn is majority owner of the company.

Someone should advise David Einhorn of the value of portuguese football and players. I am sure that if he had someone who keeps an eye on this game in Europe could give him a way to start generating more income.

I actually remember him playing at the wsop when he won those 650.000 dollars, i know that he donated the money back then but i never knew he was so rich and has so many investments on so many markets although it was clear that he was not a professional poker player considering he was not living out of poker.
As for his latest aquisition i don't really having nothing to say considering i don't know the team but i know that 200.000.000 million dollars are a lot, and i'm sure he sees that as a buisness not as a hobby, so we should expect him to make profit.
I also agree with was was posted above , an european football team would be a lot more profitable since there is a lot more money in the buisness.
Lets hope he will have succes with his new purchase, ans yes he needs a new look for sure...

that is a lot of money for a team that isnt even worth investing money on
