World Poker Tour World Championship is being played at Bellagio in Vegas at the moment, and already Day 1 a & b as well as Day 2 are in the books. According to the latest update on world poker tour's website, 95 players remain and no one else than Michael Mizrachi leads with 428,000. Another well-known player with plenty of chips is Isaac Haxton (has played a few Superstar Showdown matches against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom) in 5th place with 313,500.

Both Mizrachi and Haxton have some impressive tournament results in the past. However, Haxton's "tournament CV" looks pretty paltry with 1 major tournament win and $4 million won compared to Mizrachi's with 2 WSOP titles, 2 WPT titles and over $12,000,000 won! It will be interesting to see how it goes for them during Day 3, which starts in about 11 hours.

Nice.

Seems the better known pros are really mopping things up lately.

Mizrachi’s results are three times better than Haxton’s. But we hear a lot more from Haxton in the news than from Mizrachi, at least I have that impression. Is he more mediatic? Or, better, how can someone with a winning history like Mizrachi can maintain such a low profile?
