After 5 days of play, Matt Giannetti was crowned the champion of the World Poker Tour Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Giannetti, who won the 2012 WPT Malta Main Event, brought the largest stack to the final table and remained in the lead from start to finish. Besides that it only took him 6 hands to defeat Lily Kiletto heads-up.
Kiletto (4.3 million) raised to 200,000, Giannetti (6.8 million) thought for a few moments before he reraised to 580,000. Kiletto paused a moment before moving all in for 3.9 million. Giannetti decided to make the call after about 2 minutes of thinking.
Giannetti: 88
Kiletto: 87
The board ran out 3229J and Giannetti laid hands on the $323,804 first prize and an entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Giannetti also received a WPT Champions Trophy and got his name engraved (for the second time) on the WPT Champions Cup Trophy.
