After 5 days of play, Matt Giannetti was crowned the champion of the World Poker Tour Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Giannetti, who won the 2012 WPT Malta Main Event, brought the largest stack to the final table and remained in the lead from start to finish. Besides that it only took him 6 hands to defeat Lily Kiletto heads-up.

Kiletto (4.3 million) raised to 200,000, Giannetti (6.8 million) thought for a few moments before he reraised to 580,000. Kiletto paused a moment before moving all in for 3.9 million. Giannetti decided to make the call after about 2 minutes of thinking.

Giannetti: 8Club8Heart
Kiletto: 8Spade7Spade

The board ran out 3Club2Heart2Spade9SpadeJClub and Giannetti laid hands on the $323,804 first prize and an entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Giannetti also received a WPT Champions Trophy and got his name engraved (for the second time) on the WPT Champions Cup Trophy.

Final table results:
1: Matt Giannetti - $323,804 (includes $25,500 seat in WPT World Championship)
2: Lily Kiletto - $191,880
3: Darryll Fish - $125,921
4: Danny Shiff - $86,946
5: Hayden Fortini - $64,160
6: Matt Salsberg - $50,968

nice bluff lol. Only costed Kiletto around 130k. Still gutsy move to go all-in after a re-raise heads-up. didn't pay up thou.

Kiletto was definitively not thinking he would make that call. But with a pair of 88's, being leading (although the difference of chips in this case, would bring a difference of 4-1 in case Kiletto wins the hand), Giannetti risked well. I think that, when he saw his opponents hands, he may have give a big breathe of relief, althoguh those suited could have ruined all. But that didn't happened, and the star of all the event become crowned: fair!

Matt Giannetti's latest WPT title was not only his second on the tour, but the second time he'd broken the heart of a female player.
Having defeated Cecilia Pescaglini in 2011 at WPT Malta, Giannetti thwarted another prospective female champion in the form of Lily Kiletto.
