After a very disappointing loss against Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier at EPT London 2 days ago (Full Tilt vs PokerStars challenge), Viktor "Isildur1" Blom decided to try his luck at Full Tilt Poker's nosebleed tables instead.
Blom played 2-7 Triple Draw, Fixed Limit Omaha High/Low-8 or better (FLO8) and Pot Limit Omaha for about 10 hours and booked an incredible $1,308,481 win! Most of the winnings came from playing $400/$800 Pot Limit Omaha against Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene. The two pros created 5 of the biggest pots of that day and Blom won 3 of them.
Here is how the biggest hand played out:
Blom bet $2,700 from the big blind, Tollerene raised to $8,400 and Blom called. The flop came out 64A. Tollerene bet $13,680 and Blom called. The A fell on the turn and Tollerene bet $35,568, Blom called. The final card was the 4 and Tollerene bet $92,476. Blom went all-in for his remaining $137k. Tollerene folded.
Blom won the pot of $300,549 (no showdown).
Viktor Blom is now up $3,364,017 this year (73,512 hands), and he's (once again) the biggest winner of 2013 at Full Tilt Poker. According to highstakesdb, Blom is up $1,147,330 (454,024 hands) since they started tracking results online. It will be interesting to see if Blom's winning streak will continue the rest of this week. Stay tuned for more updates!
