Athanasios Polychronopoulos won his second WSOP gold bracelet by winning event #17 yesterday.
In this No-Limit Hold'em event there were no less than 2,105 players and a total prize pool of $2,841,750. Polychronopoulos beat the runner-up Manuel Mutke by hitting a Queen of Clubs on the river, making a two pair - Jacks and Queens, against Mutke's pair of Jacks. Mutke got $322,908 for the second place while Polychronopoulos earned a healthy $518,755 for winning the event.
Polychronopoulos won his first gold bracelet in 2011, event #48 $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, which gave him $650,223.
