WSOP 2013: Erick Lindgren Wins Event #32: No-Limit Hold'em!

Just a few minutes ago, American poker pro Erick Lindgren (a well-known figure from the classic televised cash game High Stakes Poker) took down Event #32: No-Limit Hold'em (Six Handed) after a very interesting heads-up against Lee Markholt, who was looking to win his first bracelet.

Lindgren brought a massive lead to heads-up play, but Markholt gave him a good fight. It didn't take long before Markholt doubled up with a flopped straight vs KK of Lindgren. After that he went on a winning streak to bring the stacks to about even. However, Lindgren never let go of the lead and proved too strong for Markholt who received $374,960 for finishing runner-up after losing several big pots. Lindgren received $606,317 in prize money and now has 2 WSOP bracelets under his belt!

Sweet result for Erick, he definately deserved this one Smile

I actually remember the shows back in the day when he played on some pretty high stakes on cash. I still hope that they'll make new eps of that show.

This event brought a big different between the 1st and 2nd prize, having one almost the double of the other.
