Day 3 of the AU$10,000 Main Event (played at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia) concluded with 18 of 70 players bagging up chips. The money bubble popped when 36 players remained, but poker stars such as Joathan Duhamel, Jeff Gross, Brian Rast found themselves short of the money.

The remaining players are fighting for a first place prize of AU$850,136 and, of course, a WSOP bracelet. The current chip leader is Victor Teng with an impressive 1.8 million stack. Second in chips is Jason Giualiano, who was down to just a few big blinds once in the money, with 1.2 million. WSOP bracelet owners left in the competition are Frank Kassela (783,000), Gary Benson (458,000) and Alexander Antonios (127,000). Also, three ladies are still alive and kicking: JJ Lio, Jackie Glazier and Ang Italiano.

We will be back with another update tomorrow.

There are some big names that have bitten the dust in this tournament and it goes to prove how difficult it is to cash in these tournaments, let alone win one. Good luck to all those left in
