Matas Cimbolas Wins partypoker WPT UK! (£200,000)

The partypoker WPT UK main event concluded this weekend with 21-year-old Matas Cimbolas from Lithuania as the champion. Cimbolas outlasted a very tough field of 354 entries over 4 days of play to lay hands on the biggest payday of his career - £200,000. What makes his victory even more fantastic is that he faced a 6:1 chip deficit at one point during the heads-up against Ben Warrington.

1st. Matas Cimbolas - £200,000*
2nd. Ben Warrington - £140,000
3rd. Tamer Kamel - £92,000
4th. Antoine Saout - £67,000
5th. Phillip Mighall - £48,000
6th. Patrick Leonard - £39,500

* Total first prize amount includes a $15,400 seat into the season-ending WPT World Championship.

Indeed there is Patrick Leonard 6th place who is a great player too but unfortunately got bad luck.

An excellent win for someone who I have not heard about or seen before on the poker scene but according to Hendon he has a couple of five figure wins in the last year.
It looks like Ben Warrington has been extremely unlucky when it comes to winning a live tournament,he has had loads of cashes but has not managed to win one of the big ones yet.He has been playing for years now so hopefully he will take it in good spirit!!and I'm sure the $219k for second place will mean a very good Christmas for him!
