The partypoker WPT UK main event concluded this weekend with 21-year-old Matas Cimbolas from Lithuania as the champion. Cimbolas outlasted a very tough field of 354 entries over 4 days of play to lay hands on the biggest payday of his career - £200,000. What makes his victory even more fantastic is that he faced a 6:1 chip deficit at one point during the heads-up against Ben Warrington.

partypoker WPT UK: Adrian Mateos Leads Final 51 Into Day 3

51 players of 354 entries remain after three days of intensive play in the World Poker Tour UK Main Event. Adrian Mateos will lead the remaining pack into Day 2, which begins at 1pm local time, with a stack of 560,500. Mateos was the Day 1A chip leader before Day 1B generated a new one, Fred Wise of England, who is still alive with 111,000 chips.

partypoker WPT UK: 171 Players of 333 Entries Through To Day 2

Day 1B of partypoker WPT UK attracted 239 entries and 130 of them made it through to Day 2. England's Fred Wise finished on top of the chip counts with 215,100 and will be bringing the overall chip lead into Day 2.

94 players showed up for Day 1A of partypoker World Poker Tour UK Main Event (played at Dusk Till Dawn Casino and Poker Lenton, Nottingham) and Spain's Adrian Mateos (best known for winning the 2014 WSOPE Main Event for €1 million) bagged up the biggest stack (181,200) amongst the 40 players who made it through the day. Mateos will be joined by the likes of Martin Retteinmaier (63,600) and WPT's very own Mike Sexton (61,800) when Day 2 kicks off tomorrow. 

Day 1B kicks off at 1pm local time today and players that busted on Day 1A (just to mention a few notables: Sam Trickett, Jack Salter and WPT Champions Club members Dominik Nitsche and Michael Mizrachi) will be able to re-enter today. We will be back with another brief update tomorrow morning! Stay tuned!
