It's high time to update everyone on the European Poker Tour Vienna (Austria) Main Event. A field of 910 entries has been narrowed down to 56 players over three days of play. Pablo Gordillo, a PokerStars qualifier from Spain who has a little more than $3k in tournament winnings to date, will lead the remaining 53 players to Day 4 (begins in a few hours) with 2.1 million in chips (about 600k more than his closest opponent).
Gordillo (picture) is already guaranteed the biggest payday of his live tournament career since the next player to be eliminated will take home €14,600. Let's hope that he aims higher than that though, because the top 8 finishers in the tournament are guaranteed to get +€100k and the last man standing will boost his poker bankroll with 816,000 Euro!
Besides "tournament rookie" Gordillo, it will be interesting to follow these three players in Day 4: Jude Ainsworth (788k) and Team PokerStars Pros Marcel Luske (512k) and Johnny Lodden (477k).
I'm glad to see that Marcel Luske is still going strong in this tournament and i would love to see him reach another final table. Good luck to all those left in but especially to the dutch master Marcel

Always being very excited to hear stories like this one:rookie who won seat from online qualifier runs deep in European Main Event whatever city it is. So many congratulations to Pablo Gordillo, a PokerStars qualifier from Spain and I hope he will go even further. In addition I want to pass my wishes from heart to fellow Greek poker pro Miltiadis Kyriakides who is fifth with fifty players remaining. AND of course all time classic Team PokerStars Pros Marcel Luske who admire and appreciate from my first contact with poker world. Keep going guys ,we looking forward to watch awesome poker battles.
Haha thats epic, the chip leader has won less than I have in my entire poker playing time and there he is in a big tourney guaranteed a sweet payday. Awesome. hope he manages to keep it going and maybe even FT the event. To get there by qualifier is epic.
