Another day of play has come to end at Casino Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. 115 players made it through to Day 3 of the EPT Sanremo Main Event with Lukas Berglund from Sweden bagging up the largest stack of chips.
Berglund really had the Texas Hold'em gods on his side in Day 2, including a hand where he picked up aces against kings and queens to knock out two players! Believe it or not but he will bring a massive 694,600 chips into Day 3! That's 212,200 more than the player in second place!
Berglund will be joined at the poker tables today by the likes of, just to mention a few with decent stacks, Oliver Busquet (387,900), Michael Tureniec (212,100), Johnny Lodden (185,000), Mickey Petersen (164,700), Vicky Coren (162,400) and Pius Heinz (102,700).
The remaining players are fighting for a prize pool of €2,480,872. The money bubble will burst when 89 players remain (min cash is worth 8,434 Euro) and the last man standing will take home a whopping €476,100! We will be back with another update tomorrow morning!
