The final table of the 2014 UK and Ireland Poker Tour Nottingham concluded in less than four hours of play with Duncan McLellan as the champion!! In total, McLellan bested a field of 1,223 players over six days of intensive poker to claim the title and the £202,372 first-place prize!

Besides the title and the prize money, he became the first player from United Kingdom to win double UKIPT titles and the fourth player in total to achive double titles.

"I had no fear of going broke. You can't win a tournament without getting your chips over the line. This has just been a weekend away really. I want to go out to Vegas and play the main event but I'll be back on the scaffold tomorrow!," said McLellan after the big win.

Final table results:

2nd. Angelo Milioto, United Kingdom, PokerStars Qualifier, £143,728

Congrats to him! £202,372 is a nice sum of money for everybody - even though I never heard of him or about the others at the final table.
But six days for 1k players is a bit much, isn't it? Something must have been up with the blind levels, otherwise why would this take up a whole week I can't understand.
Again congrats, he definitely going to enjoy spending his prize I can tell judging by the picture alone. Big Smile

Seems like a worthy champ and a hard working average joe. Back at the work in no time even after such a monster win. I'm guessing he owns a business or something?

Nice to see a Uk champ and a 'normal' geezer win some big money.
