Still there's not a two-time winner at this year's Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars, however, there have been a few notable winners! One of them is Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer, from Germany, who took down Event #33-H on Tuesday.
A total field of 336 players participated in the $2,100 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, which was played in the Zoom Poker format with a turbo structure, and the final table was set after just two hours and 40 minutes, then it only took 48 hands and 30 minutes until Danzer, who brought the third largest stack into the final table, had all the chip in play and laid hands on the top prize of $129,645!
George Danzer now has 19 cashes this series and four SCOOP titles to his name. The fact is that he is tied for second place with Calvin Anderson on the list of players with the most SCOOP titles. He is only 1 SCOOP title behind Shaun Deeb. It's not impossible that he wins another one before the series concludes on Sunday!
The 2014 SCOOP (TOTAL PRIZE POOL $40,000,000) takes place from May 4-18 and features 45 events in Low, Medium and High buy-in, with the cheapest tourneys starting from just $5.50!
Also, there are satellites to all events running around the clock, so it does not have to cost more than a few dollars/VIP points to play in the more expensive events. Good luck!
