Steven Wolansky just missed out on a bracelet last year when he finished second in Event #8: $2,500 Eight-Game Mix. On Wednesday he got his revenge after besting a field of 241 runners over three days of play in the No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball event. Believe it or not but Wolansky was only responsible for one elimination on this 6-handed final table...

Joseph Cheong, who has over $9.5 million in live tournament earnings, eliminated all four players leading up to heads up play. Cheong had a small lead when the final battle started. The match started off slowly, but eventually he and Wolansky played a few bigger pots. Everything started going Wolansky's way at this point and, as they say, the rest is history!

Final table results:
1st Steven Wolansky $89,483
2nd Joseph Cheong $55,309
3rd Max Kruse $36,494
4th Christopher Mecklin $24,908
5th Orjan Skommo $17,445
6th Samuel Touil $12,529

Well done to Steven Wolansky on winning his first bracelet. I have no idea on how to play 2-7 draw lowball and these players never cease to amaze me at how good they are at so many disciplines

Congratulations to Steven for his win, it's not such a hard game to play but in my opinion you need a lot more luck than in other types of poker to be on top...

I also saw that event 37 ended, it was a PLO event with a pretty low buy in Smile
