The partypoker World Poker Tour UK Main Event's player field has been reduced from 450 entries to 59 players over the past few days. Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi started Day 2 with the largest stack and will return today with the 6th largest stack (425,000).
Mizrachi has over $14.6 million in live tournament earnings, but it was a while ago since he had decent score in a major tournament series such as the World Poker Tour. In fact, if he finishes 1st-3rd in this tournament (90-200k GBP) it will be his biggest score since the beginning of 2013.
Now, the remaining players will be led into Day 3 by Paul Dando ($1.4 million in live earnings) with 775k in chips. The top 54 players will get a slice of the £1,000,000 prize pool on Day 3, which means that only 5 players have to hit the rail before everyone's guaranteed a min-cash worth £5,400... with the chance of going all the way to the top prize of £200,000!
Check back on Monday morning for a final table recap.
