WPT World Championship: 68 Players Remain, Michael Rocco Leads

There are 68 players remaining in the World Poker Tour World Championship after two days of play. The average stack is 175,000 (58 big blinds) and Michael Rocco (American pro with $646,341 in live tournament earnings) has the lead with 439,500 in chips.

Champions Club member Jonathan Jaffe (428,000), Corey Hochman (398,000), Brian Murphy (380,500), Simon Lam (337,500), Champions Club member Konstantinos Nanos (326,000), Brian Yoon (309,500), Sang Kim (304,500) and defending WPT World Champion Keven Stammen (303,000) will also bring big stacks to Day 3. 

Prize pool? In total, 239 players entered the tournament for $15,000 + $400 each = a prize pool of $3,462,050. The money bubble will burst when 27 players remain. A minimum cash is worth $31,297, and $973,683 is reserved for the winner.

This is a very impressive list of well known players left in and this tournament is going to be extremely difficult to win. Good luck to all those left in because, whoever wins, will have earned it

Half of these guys will still go home with empty pockets, that means a lot of chips will still have to be put on the table to get to the money. Running for a $970k first prize can be great, but getting out of the table without puting the hands on the minimum $31k after spending $15k to enter must be painful. Can't imagine what's going around in all those heads right now...

In the UK we use to be able to watch some of the WPT on the satellite channels but these days we never see much so not many of these names I reccognise.
I expect that quite a few have managed to satellite into the game so to come this far and getting closer to a min cash must be nerve wracking,for a recreational player to win $31k would be a great boost to their bankroll.

Well, if you are into the adult film entertainment at least you could recognize the name 'Rocco' but I am pretty sure they are not the same person...
