WPT Amsterdam: 61 Players Left, Joep van den Bijgaart Leads

Joep van den Bijgaart - picture pokernewsDay 2 of the World Poker Tour Amsterdam €3,300 Main Event concluded last night with 65 players who will return today and fight to live another day - i.e. make it one step closer to the final table.

Dutchman Joep van den Bijgaart will bring the biggest stack today (438k), and he will joined by several pros, including three-time WPT winner and 2014 WPT Player of the Year Anthony Zinno (116k) and EPT Grand Final winner Steve O'Dwyer (221,500).

Day 3 resumes at 2pm (CET) and only 45 players will make the money. A minimum cash is worth $6,685, and the eventual winner will take home nothing but $239,559! Another update will be posted in the news section tomorrow morning. Stay tuned!

We are getting down to the money bubble now and this must be nervous times for some of the players near the bubble. There are some big names still left in and good luck to all

Down to the final 65 players and near the bubble very quickly.Still some very good players left and chip stacks quite close.I have always liked O'Dwyer who always has the potential to win a game and doesn't make many mistakes.

So the minimum cash is worth $6,685 and I cannot think about nothing else but just how wrong is that. Participating in a tourey where the initial buy-in is 3.3k that sum seems too low for me personally - I know that something like 2x-2.5x is sort of standard return in early ITM, but still.
