96 entries (+20 compared to last year) entered the 2016 World Poker Tour Amsterdam €6,000 High Roller to create a €531,084 prize pool - which 12 players received a slice of. The biggest name on the 8-handed final table was Juha Helppi. However, the Finnish poker legend eventually finished in 4th place for €49,840 after losing an all in with Q[c]J[s] against the A[h]7[c] of Antanas Kavrakov.

Farid Yachou Wins WPT Amsterdam ($239,559)

Fabrid Yachou outlasted a field of 341 entrants over 6 days of play to claim the World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event title and $239,559! According to WPT reporters, the Moroccan born cafeteria owner learned the game playing cash games with his friends. He doesn't visit casinos that often and only decided to play this event (his first poker tournament) to experience something different and compete against poker's elite.

Day 1A chip leader Fredrik Andersson is once again back at top of the chip counts after a successful run on Day 3. The Swede bagged up 1.4 million chips at the end of Day 3 - almost 400k more that his closest opponents (the only other players with seven figure sums) Day 2 chip leader Joep van den Bijgaart in second place and Sorel Mizzi in third place.

The second starting day of the first-ever World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event drew a field of 194 entries to the Holland Casino in Amsterdam, Holland. In total, 99 players made it through to Day 2 from Day 1B, with Italian pro Giacomo Fundaro bagging up the overall chip lead.

WPT Amsterdam: 54 Players Survived Day 1A; Swede Has The Lead

Day 1A of the first-ever World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event (€3,300 buy-in) began with 130 entries and ended with 54 survivors after nine levels of play, and Fredrik Andersson, from Sweden, finished at the top of the chip counts with 228,100.
