Day 3 is in the books. Ray Henson, who finished 12th in the 2007 WSOP Main Event, will lead the remaining 39 players of 22,374 entries into Day 4, which likely will be the final day of play.

Henson bagged up 7,420,000 in chips at the end of play, he is followed on the chip counts by Adi Prasetyo (6,880,000), David Farber (5,625,000), and Ibrahim Naim (5,290,000).

All remaining players have now secured a minimum cash of $23,022. But, of course, they will do their utmost to become the champion and pocket $638,880 in prize money!

I can't say I know many that are in the final 39 but I hope with the buy in being quite low that a big majority of the players who cash will be more recreational players who have the chance to play at the WSOP.

with 22,374 players and a $11,187,000 prize pool, is surprising that the WSOP Colossus had a $638,880 first prize.there have been a lot of players complaining that first place did not get 10% of the overall prize pool. The first prize is 5.7% of the prize pool, but it is also 1,130 times the buy-in. In fact even the players who just miss the final table in 10-12th place will win just under 100 times their buy-in.

The first place prize money in this event does seem to be a little low for such a massive turnout. This was a rebuy event and if some of these players have rebought, their win % gets even lower

This is why I did not get any of the fuss about this tournament. They promoed the hell out of this and they lured in more than 20k people yet the final table is kinda dissapointing moneywise and the percentages are way off more than expected throughout the whole prizepool. It's definitely weird.
