In the early hours of the morning, the 44 year old italian pro Max Pescatori had beaten the rest of the field and won WSOP event no.9, the $1500 Razz tournament and secured him his 3'rd career bracelet.

Pescatori, who is widely known in the poker community as "The Italian Pirate" won his first bracelet back in 2006 where he took down the $2.500 NLHE event and won $682.389. Two years later he took down his second bracelet in the $2.500 Pot Limit Hold'em/Omaha event where he added $246.509 to his bankroll.

After what some would call a major tournament drought, Pescatori is finally on top again after outlasting a tough 462 players field and a final table which included 2 time WSOP bracelet winner, Eli Elezra. Heads-up Pescatori eventually overcame Ryan Miller to win the title and add $155.947 to his career live tournament earnings, which now exceed $3.7m

Well I guess when it is your day, it is your day. Judging on his playing in this tournament was pretty clear he has a big shot to win it. Good play and best of luck!

Must be nice to have added a third bracelet to his collection and it looks like he has won them in a variety of games.I have never really player RAZZ but I have enough trouble with hold em so he definitely deserves his success.

A player in a $125 tournament was accidentally given a $25,000 Aria High Roller ticket. He played for seven hours, bust several players, and when it was discovered he was thrown out of the event. The Aria have apparently paid the players who he busted a decent sum (Around $3,000-$5,000) in compensation

It's just a stud game where you go after the lowest/worst possible hand. Now that Phil Hellmuth is playing it frequently it might become a bit more popular.
