Last week, Max Pescatori and Todd Brunson were the talk of the poker community after news came out that they purchased the renowned Las Vegas restaurant named Roma Deli, situated a few miles west of the strip, at 5755 W Spring Mountain Road.
A 2016 Poker Hall of Fame inductee and winner of one WSOP bracelet, Todd Brunson is a known foodie who frequently posts photos of his meals at various restaurants on Twitter. He said he’ll have a 25% stake in the restaurant but does not share Pescatori’s ownership stake.
Massimiliano ‘Max’ Pescatori was born in Milan, Italy, so you’d bet that he knows a lot about authentic Italian-style cuisine. He is also known to be the most successful poker player in history from his home country. He has 4 WSOP bracelets and so far has won $4.2 million in live tournaments.
The two poker players won’t have to worry about their new acquisition, as Roma Deli actually already has a loyal customer base. Locals and tourists love the various selections of sumptuous pasta dishes and wines, the ambience, and especially the restaurant’s use of fresh ingredients such as fresh mozzarella, meats and cheeses, hand-crafted sausage, home-made tiramisu and their famous braciola. Todd said he’s not going to do any wholesale changes, but plans to include a bar in the next-door space he obtained. Roma Deli is just only a 5-minute drive from the Rio, home of the WSOP.
Nolan Dalla congratulated Todd on his Twitter account saying, “Was already a regular, but now will make that my office. Cameriere!”
