I think this is a good signing of a very good poker player. At least they are signing up an established player rather than a "celebrity" or sports personality who don't even play the game.

Nitsche will join a pro team that consists of Aristotle, Plato, Immanuel Kant, Niccolo Machiavelli, Gottfried Leibniz, Rene Descartes, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Soren Kierkegaard, Thomas Aquinas and John Locke. Fixed that for you.

So I am just wondering that the recent merger news with bwin-party (if it's really going to come through - who knows at this stage?) will have any affect on the sponsored pro team of 888's. Not sure either bwin or party have a 'team' anymore (altough party was always active on this front) but if not just the companies merge but somehow the rooms too it could be interesting to see if they would let go some recently signed up pro player's sponsor deal too...
