2016 PCA: Brazil's Leonardo Pires Leads For Second Day In A Row

A massive field of 928 players entered this year's PCA Main Event! After three days of play, however, there are only 73 remaining players who have the chance of becoming the champion of this prestigious tournament. The chip leader as the tournament is heading into Day 4 is Leonardo Pires with 2 million in chips - about 700k more than his closest opponent.

Pires, from Brazil, started Day 3 with the chip lead and also finished the day with it. His recipe for success has been playing lots of pots and, of course, winning most of them. Sounds simple, hah? It will be interesting to see if his good run continues on Day 4, which begins in a couple of hours.

Other players who will return with healthy stacks today include Phillip McAllister (1,379,000), Matthew Waxman (949,000), Fabian Ortiz (804,000), and Jason Mercier (704,000).

Check back tomorrow for another brief update on the PCA Main Event!
