Many of the world's best poker players competed in the season XIV World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic $10k entry Main Event to create a massive prize pool! After several days of play, however, rather unknown German poker pro Dietrich Fast stood tall as the champion after defeating Season XIV WPT Legends of Poker champion Mike Shariati heads-up!
Shariati might have been denied the second title of the season, but he still took home $656,540 for finishing runner up in the tournament! The winner, Dietrich Fast, received a whopping $1,000,800, a pair of gold Monster 24K headphones, a Hublot King Power Unico watch, and last but not least a seat into the WPT Tournament of Champions.
Fast had around $600k in live tournament earnings from 2009 up until the win of this tournament. We can only imagine how much a big score like this must mean to him and his bankroll!
