The lucrative week-long high-stakes poker tournament series Poker Masters is finally getting to a very interesting conclusion at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, with Brian ‘tsarrast' Rast emerging on top after Day 1 of the Poker Masters $100,000 Buy-in No-limit Hold'em event.

The 35-year-old three-time WSOP bracelet winner ended the day with a 959,000-chip lead, whereas 2nd place goes to Justin ‘ZeeJustin' Bonomo with 780,500 chips, and in 3rd place it's Daniel ‘RealKidPoker' Negreanu with 745,500 chips.

Also still fighting in this fierce freeze out finale are players such as Fedor Holz, Dan Shak, and the severely short-stacked Phil Hellmuth. A total of 35 players entered the fray, and 20 players were wiped out during the course of Day 1, including David Peters, Sean Winter, Isaac Haxton, Tom Marchese, Nick Schulman, Bryn Kenney, and Doug Polk.

Even though the official prize pool is not yet announced, it is expected that the final six players will go home with their pockets filled, and the eventual top winner would potentially be adding to his career earnings at least over $1.5 million.

Wow, what a list of players and whoever wins this would have deserved every penny of the first prize. Brian Rast is a fantastic player but, in my opinion, you cannot name a favourite to win

There are many notable poker players in the list. Daniel Negreanu is tailing Brian Rast and Justin Bonomo. German pro Fedor Holz will surely be a force to be reckoned with.
Good luck to all the players!

Could be pretty boring having all these high roller events with always the same couple dozen participants... They must be sick of each other by now.

If these people play excellent poker and have money i do not see what the reason is not to play. Would play more people if there were satellites for this tournaments event. There are many good players who can not to buy entry in these games. Need satellites in future for more players.
