Scheduled from June 3 to July 3, 2018, Event #11: $365 PLO GIANT of the 2018 WSOP has now come to an end, and the one who outlasted a field of 3,250 entries is Canadian Tim Andrew, who has won his very first bracelet with his first cash at the WSOP series.

This tournament format of the popular game of pot-limit Omaha is a new one offered by WSOP and it has a very affordable buy-in price for its players. The $365 PLO GIANT event had five starting flights, with each flight scheduled on a Sunday evening all throughout June. Surviving players from all those flights returned into one field on July 2, Monday and battled to reach the final table. It was 31-year-old Tim Andrew from British Columbia who won the event, claiming his first gold bracelet in what would be the very first WSOP event he had entered.

Andrew entered the final table tied for 3rd chip position. He actually came in around 30 minutes late, unable to wake up on time despite setting an alarm. With the Rio 15 minutes away from where he's staying, he woke up and figured he's going to miss some hands regardless, so he took a nice cool shower prior to heading over to take his seat at the final table.

Andrew survived to the short-handed play with a healthy stack, even though he did not knock out any players in the process. It was actually Pedro Arroyos who scored the most knockouts on the final table.

As the final hand draws near, Arroyos had a 3-to-1 chip advantage but Andrew fought well enough to defeat him and claim the bracelet plus the first place prize money.

Is a pretty good amount for him and with a bracelet he did something beautiful. For an omaha game it is very good. Even if it's a popular game you can not win this money so fast with omaha. This is the situation and i congratulate this player for his abilities and for 1st in this game.

It must take a great deal of concentration to play a tournament for a month and it must give a great deal of satisfaction to actually win the whole thing. I think these lower buy-ins are a great thing and long may they continue

Not manny players in this tournament with same money buyin of 365 dollars like in texas no limit holdem tournament. About three times more in texas nl than pot limit omaha, maybe people like texas more

Massive well done to Tim Andrew, who won the event #11 and captured his first ever WSOP gold bracelet. All the memorable events that ever takes place in your life mostly happens unexpectedly. Life is full of surprises and serendipity.

Another reported poker win for over 100k. This amount is really life changing and I would be able to make a lot of really good changes in my life with that amount of money. One can only dream to sometime reach that kind of potential! I think my best chance for a good profit at poker would be the Jackpot games when I finally get to move up in stakes. I'm thinking that I need to reach at least the $3 games to earn good enough for me to be happy with it.

Erru, you can try to play satellites, to qualify in games of $11 dollars, 22, 33, 55 and after that to make some money ( few k ). Then you can play $ 109 games and maybe you may be successful. Of course, there is a tax in these games, if you win and retire, but even so it's good to win. This Tim Andrew will pay tax for this amount of money but he has proven, is an excellent player to make more money in his career, in future.
