There were 1,364 player entries that participated in the APPT Manila Main Event ₱20 Million Guaranteed located at the City of Dreams Manila Resort and Casino. On Day 3 of the event, there were 41 remaining, and it was Wilson Lim who defeated everyone to claim the coveted APPT Main Event trophy, whopping first place prize money worth ₱12,970,000, and a PSPC Platinum Pass worth US$30,000!

On the final day of the tourney, the player number went down quite swiftly, and when the final table began did the players only really began to tighten up their playing styles. The big stack Yuan Chao Li took advantage of his position, bullying everybody all the way until the heads-up match.

On the other hand, Wilson Lim played most of the final table as the short stack and there was a time that he was just over one big blind! His patient style of play and lucky run of cards enabled him to get out of the short stack position and straight into the top 2.

Lim said, "Before I came to the final table, there were two tables and I had less than one big blind, so I just went all-in blind. I doubled and doubled until I was a big stack."

In the final hand of the heads-up match between Yuan Chao Li and Wilson Lim, Lim's ace-five beat Li's when all the cards were shown and it was Lim's flush that determined him the winner of the pot.

When asked about his thoughts on winning the tournament and getting a PSPC Platinum Pass to the Bahamas, he said, "Awesome and overwhelming for me, I played very long hours for this one because the schedule is so tight and I got maybe less than six hours of sleep every night. I have been playing poker for about 10 years now, it was about one or two years in that I started to realize poker was more than just gambling and I can improve myself. After a few years I started improving and now I earn most of my money just from poker."

Normal, that poker is more than just luck. You can not be a good poker player only with luck. Professional or experienced players they will crush you, if you think you can win only with luck. Is impossible in live games. In online poker you need more luck is true. That PSPC Platinum Pass of $ 30.000 is very interesting and this player have a chance for more money in Bahamas.

Well, it is always impressive for anyone under any circomstances to win a tournament that has a field of 1000+ players. Even if for some strange reason most of them would be total donks, you're still up against at least a few very good and solid players. Well done by Wilson Lim.

I really want to watching video this match, to know what their opponent hand , sound so easy for them took opponent chip, lol. Many time I met opponent act like Yuan Chao Li, but when I had premium hand and call the villain shove, I lost to his crap card. LUCK dominate or skill in that case ?

A tournament with relatively small prizes. At first i thought, it was US dollars,
till i noticed the currency and the read the list with the winners and the money Smile
But nevertheless a quarter of a million is a great prize.
That must has a very good value also. Whatever that pass is Smile

well yeah I have to agree with dudes and dudettes in saying that to pocket a quarter of a million by playing poker really qualifies as a great day. especially when you calculate your overall win loss balance and happen to that quarter of a million ahead

Poor guy gonna be taxed into oblivion though - Singapore is not joking with these kind of stuff. Hope he is gonna set up residency in a tax paradise after this if he did not do it yet.

I do not know how taxes are in singapore but for cars, taxes are huge. Singapore traffic has become fluid because the tax is 31,000 euros or 50.000 dollars. Is a very interesting decision but very good. Important is the fact as this player will remain with a good sum of money and will play in Bahamas, will also enjoy a vacation.

of course this is a wonderful win ... the number of players was very large and it was very difficult to be on the first revenge .... and in the end he won ... a hero .... but it seems to me that the winnings amount is very large and his efforts paid off. ... but luck is also needed in such tournaments

I tried looking for the video this game at youtube but couldn't find it. I curious how he did with less than 1 BB chips but win the tournament. Anyone know ? please let me know. Another event there are, mention as main even but the player totally different Sad
 CALICUL20/08/2018 16:23:52 GMT
In pokerstars i had the opportunity to win two sit and go with 15 and 25 chips but is poker online not live. If you win few hands one after another ( all in ) you can go back into the game, then to win the tournament. but is very hard and you must to have only luck.
