- 55 tournaments spread across 18 days of poker action
- Unibet Open Main Event has €1,100 buy-in
- Midnight Madness games for only €10 to join

If you are an absolute fan of poker tournaments, then Dublin, Ireland could be one of your favorite next stops this February, as Unibet Poker is going to host its own Unibet Open as it sponsors the Dublin Poker Festival.

Unibet Poker-sponsored Dublin Poker Festival

  • Venue: The Bonnington Hotel
  • When: February 13th to March 1st, 2020
  • Events: 55 events (including satellites) in 18 days
  • Highlight: €250,000 GTD €1,100 buy-in Unibet Open Main Event

The venue will surely be well-attended by poker players coming from Ireland, Europe and the UK, who are looking to get a nice start to their 2020 poker journey.

Unibet Poker ambassador David Lappin will be attending along with fellow ambassador Dara O'Kearney, and he already knows which events he will play at. "That's an easy one. Winning a Unibet Open on home soil would be the dream. It will also be the biggest prize pool of the festival. There's a €250,000 guarantee, but my guess is we'll smash that and get €400,000 or more. If I can't take that one down then I guess I'll have to make do with winning one of the other two Main Event, one of the two High Rollers, or one of the other 50 side events!"

Lappin continued, "My approach to these kinds of longer festival is just to go hell for leather. I'll take a couple of days off before it starts, no days off during and then rest when it's over. In all probability, I'll play next tourney up throughout. I love the grind."

Aside from the Unibet Open Main Event, there's a European Deepstack Main Event that has a €570 tag on it. This tournament is a popular one thanks to its reasonable buy-in price and excellent structure. One needs to alter their usual strategy if they're used to playing fast-paced games online. When asked how he will approach these two events, Lappin said, "Patience is certainly a virtue. I'd recommend turning down skinnier edges early on. Adjusting to the pace of live poker can be very tough if you're used to online so maybe bring your headphones and listen to some episodes of ‘The Chip Race' when you're not in the hand!"

Numerous satellites, both online and live, are running round the clock to give players the chance to play in the bigger buy-in events. Unibet Poker online offers European Deepstacks and ACOP satellites on Monday and Tuesday, and Dublin Main Event satellites every Wednesday and Sunday.

For Lappin, Dublin is a wonderful city to explore before, during and after the poker festival, "The bar in the Bonnington will be buzzing and the pints will be flowing throughout, but if you're travelling to Dublin from abroad I would recommend taking a day off at some point to do some sightseeing. The Biking Splash Tour is fun, the Guinness Storehouse has a great tour, Grafton Street is great for shopping, and Temple Bar is the nuts for nightlife. Unibet runs the best live festivals in Europe and Dublin is the nut poker destination so I'd tell them to get off the feckin' fence and book that flight!"

This tournament series starts on Thursday, has not been announced before, if i'm not mistaken. I don't know if there were qualifying games. Unibet Poker is a room that needs to change their online tables and to make more satellites for his customers. To be honest it is not good if they do not change something for the better.

The good thing is that they are having satellite games.
So, you can try and win a big ticket for less money
It doesnt mention if they have freerolls for this,
permitting you to hit bi by paying absolutely nothing Smile
