5 Cash Game Tips from partypoker pro Kristen Bicknell

Kristen Bicknell from Team partypoker is considered as one of the highest-ranked female poker players in the world, having won two WSOP bracelets. She has also won the GPI Female Poker Player of the Year Award in 2018 and 2019. She's also a successful online poker player and has won more than $1M on multi-table tournaments on partypoker and other sites.

It was awesome of Bicknell to share five cash game tips that every player can apply to their gaming strategy.

1. Be selective with your starting hands in cash games
Depending on how many players are at the table, and your position, you will want to widen or narrow your pre-flop range. Don't play hands because you're bored or tilting. If you aren't sure, there are plenty of resources that can show you what appropriate ranges should look like according to position. You can make your life very difficult if you open yourself up to playing multi-way pots out of position with weak starting hands.

2. Cash game advice: Mind your position
Like in any form of poker, position is everything. For example, you will want to take advantage of playing your button as much as you can. Being in position is a huge advantage in poker, and you want to capitalize on this as much you can.

3. Study your opponents
Knowing how others play is key. A snap call against one player might be a snap fold against another. You can always pay attention more to what people are doing and try to adjust your play to exploit their tenancies. There is no reason to ever feel that you are playing robotically when you are trying to learn from and adjust to your opponents.

4. Be aware of your own image and play accordingly
As you will be adjusting to other players, the players will adjust their play with the impressions that they have of you. If you have been folding a lot and haven't played many hands, you can start bluffing a bit more as you probably have a tight image. If you have been playing a lot of hands and shown any bluffs, you might want to keep in mind that players might be more likely to call you.

5. Recognize and avoid playing if you're tilting and it's affecting your decisions
Poker has its ups and downs. Whenever your emotions are high, this can be from winning or losing, there is a chance your decision making may suffer. Be sure to check in with yourself and emotions and know when it's time to quit for the day or to consciously recognize how your emotions are affecting you. Sometimes, awareness of your emotions alone can be enough to minimize tilt affecting how you play.

These tips are great for professional players but when playing with the weaker players, there are chances to lose many hands against them. This strategy cost me a lot of lost hands with fish. When you have redoubtable gamblers in front of you these tactics are very good.

I have always tried to understand some good advice from some professional poker players. At the level to which i play, they were not good. I can't win hands with their tips because players pay very often with weak cards and i lose enough pots.

I understand you CALICUL, but if your problem are the fish, what´s about the good players? I don´t play cash for now, as you know, but I love the fish in every tables where I´m playing! They can win a hand or two or ten, but they are condenmed to lost their bankroll! So the only problem with the fish is noticed about their skills Cool Don´t you think it CALICUL?

Well , what I say is true , I have to improve many things on my game (but I don't try in a satisfactory way lol , at least for now ) . Bluffs , not to get bluffed easily , have to try mix my gamestyles , not being all time tight or getting crazy and play very loose all time especially in freerolls , also the click times , stop being fast in many spots when I am bored cause it shows I am on a draw more or less . Also other mistakes . Yes I have to study a lot more , I have innumerable books , threads to study , it's on the schedule , lol .

What Kristen said is right , don't find any mistake (ofcourse with a grain of salt cause we're talking about ONLINE cash tables , ONLINE players , ONLINE RNG , etc , LOL)

But , yes , I was a little exaggerating I have to admit Blink I would agree with anything she says , I guess you didn't notice the Heart Heart Heart for Kristen and their true meaning about her Worship Worship Worship
