They may not be the biggest site to offer private home online poker between friends, but Unibet Poker has found a surefire way to stand out from the competition.
Unibet Poker's home private games are Rake Free!
Unibet ambassador David Lappin, the pioneer of Unibet private games, said, "When you play a home game with your mates, you don't pay any rake so we decided that when you play a private game on Unibet Poker, you won't either!"
How to Set Up Your Private Home Game
First things first, sign up at the Unibet Poker through BankrollMob. Doing so gives you a welcome bonus of up to €200.
After that, all you have to do is:
- Make sure you have at least 6 players
- Make sure that all players have an active Unibet account before the tournament starts with enough balance to meet the buy-in requirements.
- You can choose to play from:
- Desktop (PC and Mac) - the browser directly - just head over to Unibet Poker here and click "instant play"
- Desktop (PC and Mac) - the desktop client - download the client from the Poker page. It's the recommended way of playing from a Desktop computer as it will provide for the best experience.
- Mobile (iOS and Android) - download the Unibet Poker app, login and play.
- Make sure that you follow Unibet's T&Cs at all times (can be found on the form page).
Rounding up Your Players Before starting your own private home poker game, Unibet Poker requires at least 6 players to join. There is a lower buy-in level set at 1 Euro and a top limit of 50 Euros at all times.
As long as those requirements are met, your game can be set up and here's what you need to do to kick start the process:
Firstly, head to the Unibet Community page and check the thread about playing virtual poker with friends. At the bottom of that page, there is a discussion thread and players will need to enter the following details:
- First, a name for the tournament: Find a snappy title that sums up you and your friends and remember to keep it clean.
- Second, let them know the date and start time using Central European Time (CET). That takes care of the basics.
- Next, tell them about your intended game format - what do you require in terms of rebuy, freezeout, PKO and KO? The amount of players - between 6 and 9 - will also need to be confirmed. Lastly, please make them aware of the level up time/ tournament speed and starting stack.
- Once all of that information has been passed on, your game can be set up and it will be ready to play from the time specified.
Download the Private Table Poker App Everyone will have to download the private table poker app, which is available for both Android and iPhone, and it can also be used as a web client and desktop app under various operating systems. It's free and fast to load and you can download it by visiting the apps page.
Once the app has been installed, players can now enter their own private poker room and they can start setting up the game. Each game can bet set up and designed as a customized tournament to meet one's personal requirements, which offers players some great flexibility.
Make New Friends Since the launch of private table poker app at the Unibet community page, several people have used the service to reach out to new players. This is a great way to meet new friends online who share the same passion for poker.
To join them, simply head to the page and look through the threads to see if there is a game set up that you can join in. Alternatively, it's easy just to add your own post and look for like-minded souls who will get involved in your private poker room.
Once you already have your friends and the date lined up, just post that request and the team at Unibet will set your poker game up, ready for you and your mates to take to the tables.
What's great about playing an online poker home game at Unibet Poker is that you and your friends don't have to pay any rake at all!

The Unibet offer is very good and it is not the only poker room who does that in the last weeks. It is extremely attractive especially since you can receive free money for many games with your friends. There will always be that wager but that is not a major problem. Good luck, guys.

It's very nice that Unibet also has home games on their platform , for the players who want these days to play with their friend only , in private cash games or tournaments/sngs . These days these home games are in great demand , poker rooms are bringing them on their platforms , and they advertise them to the poker players . Also poker rooms who had such home games in the past , now they are also advertising them . They are a good way to have fun with people you know , relax and play your favourite games

So, Unibet also having home games. I think this is not a coincidence that more and more sites are going that way. Poeple want to play with other players that they trust - no bots, no hackers. It's as fun as playing with strangers, maybe even more fun and you don't feel you are being manipulated all the time. The only problem is to set up a game when all players are available. You can't just go in the site in the middle of the night and play.

You can play these home games , besides pc , also in your mobile . That's very nice , cause in another poker room this feature does not work in their mobile app , which sucks , cause playing from a mobile , especially such a game with friends and when you don't play other games , is always more fun for me . So you can set your private home game tournament , invite some players , more than 6 , and have fun , playing only with the people you want to

I also like to play on my mobile. Don't understand how big sites don't have that option. It's probably not easy to develope, but letting people play even when they are not in front of the computer makes it much more easy to okay long games I would definitely play much more tournaments if I can take it with me when I need to leave.

roeish3 thats what we talking about for weeks, that they are not serious poker site and that they dont do almost anything for players and to attract them to come and to play more or to register there!so this kind of poker clubs and other things wont be enough to have more players!

you gut to start somewhere. if the gaming is okay, they will need to be innmovative or offer a lot of freerolls to attract players. After that, if they are good, the growth will be organic. I don't know the site, because they don't accept players from Israel, but if they would I would deffinately take a look. Still looking for a new good site that I could play at. Probably not going to be very soon though.

I didnt play poker on their site for year,so dont know situation now about freerolls, but before they had lot of daily freerolls with 25,50 or 100 $,so you could make something from it!but still they couldnt have lot of players that will play for real money like other poker sites!in that time they also had bad new software with lot of bugs!

My opinion is that: Take advantage of this opportunity and get free money to improve your poker game. When there is free time and some friends, such an offer should not be refused. No need to miss this if u want money. Everyone can take this bonus.

Well, if the software sucks, not much can be done no matter how many freeroll you give and how innovative you are. This is something many stars here make, they try to gain traction but if you try to move too fast and don't have the right infrastructure to serve all your customers than in the long run you are going to lose. Is the software is better now, they could penetrate this market. Better late than never.

Very important that these home games on Unibet platform , are rake free !!! So all the money in the prize go directly to the players , that's some extra profit and winnings for the players . On the other poker rooms , if I am not mistaken in all of them , there is rake in the home games , which arome extracashgames on their platforms . Poker rooms there try to win sth more by these home games that they provide to the players , but Unibet makes the difference .

but still I think that they cant do much with this and they cant get more players, they are just behind this big poker sites!I know that they had such a different and bad software, sometimes he crush, you couldnt chat, you couldnt make move before game come to you, just to fold and so on!this cant be serious poker site,no matter that they good number of freerolls for all players who start to learn to play poker!

Well , for sure they can do more to attract more players on their platform , maybe some more promotions , leaderboards , some more advertising to promote themselves and make more known to the wider poker or gambling community the benefits of playing on their room and site . The biggest operators have the bigger piece of the market , but theris still room I believe for more operators to claim sth more from this market , take it from the bigger operators , with their good offerings , promotions , better rakeback or cashback , less fees
These rakeless homegames , being offered to existing and new players , besides other promotions by Unibet , are on the right path to achieve these goals and attract more players to their room

When customers are not marketing strategies are needed and then the employee responsible for this intervenes. Unibet will attract more players because they know and can take advantage of this chance. It's not hard if they get free money to play.

Seems like they are doing the right things to attract new players. The real issue is how to retain them over time and transfer some of them from freerolls and rake free players to money makers for the company. For that they need great software and enough players for all levels of play. If they have the first, then by attracting many players they could have the second, given enough time passes. I'm all for compatition. It makes our lives as players better.

this kind of promotion, private games, will not bring more players to unibet!what players have from it?nothing, they can now make private games on every poker site,so why people will left some other site to come on unibet?there are not much reasons, especially if they have old account there and cant use deposit and no deposit offers!so they will not have much profit from it at poker section!

It's rake free That's a very good reason to stopmplaying homegames in other online poker sites , in other platforms ,and decide to come on Unibet . In other sites , as far as I know , you pay rake for every game , for every pot in cash games . Ofcourse you still choose the rivals , maybe play only with your friends , but the extra payment , the rake goes from their pocket to the poker provider , if you can cut this extra expense , it can only be good on the long run

I do not have any friends with which I can play with them but the idea is good to revive this poker room. Their strategy is better than had 888 P. or Party P. Another very good decision at Unibet would be to change his software with something new to attract gamblers.
|
roeish3 | 14/06/2020 04:45:56 GMT |
Yes, rake free is really a way to attract all players from private tables anywhere else. I wonder if it will be enough to make players stay at Unibet even for their regular games. I also wonder if people heard about it enough in the cause poker players community (non professionals). Any way, everything that is rake free is nice for us players.

dule-vu | 14/06/2020 19:38:52 GMT |
so only benefit is to have rake free home games and thats it,nothing else!you still have nothing much from it,especially that will be hard for you to find few of your friends who will make deposit on unibet site and that will play with you on their software!so nothing special about it,when you for sure dont have 5 or 6 friends for poker there!
|
antonis321 | 14/06/2020 23:19:52 GMT |
Well ,if you don'thave 5-6 friends of yours , not much sense in going to set up such a tournament , so as to play with them . Home games are for the ones with friends . Ofcourse , there are forums with home games , also in most or all homegame clubs you can apply for friendship and membership on these private clubs , if you met at online tables and want to play together , or to a poker club of a site or a specific person who accepts many people for some reasons . Then again , specifically on Unibet , I think I read you can go to the forum and invite some friends or people to come to your homegame/club , so you can get these 5-6 players ,even if you have only 1 of your own

I have friends but I don't play with them because i would collude (it's cheating and I'll be eliminated from poker room(s)). I don't want this ugly thing, i play correctly and because of this i will not take advantage of the offer from Unibet.

thats what I am talking about!first you need 5 friends who play poker, then you must convince them to make deposit on unibet, which wont be easy,so this will be very hard for unibet to make big thing from this home games!for friends,I mean on people that you know for years, not some facebook friends!
|
antonis321 | 16/06/2020 12:17:54 GMT |
Yes dule-vu , you have to deposit first , I guess , in order to be granted the right to use home games ans set your own tournament to play with friendsyou already know or new ones invited from the forum or elsewhere or just accept them in your club . But depositing is not always easy with so many restrictions , also i got to theunibet site , they exclude too many countries , not to mention mine as well , although in the past they used to welcome Greek in their platform . I tried to register , counldn't do it . (VPN is useless , cause they demand an address , specific with are code , street , a address recognised by their list of addresses (and google map)) . So , first your country to be accepted by unibet , then to be able to make a deposit , if there are not prohibitions or obstacles in your country to do so .

The Unibet method is a good one and in this way you can play without fear of collusion. In the past, I've heard of players in my country who lost their accounts because they were cheating. At this point, all u have to do is look for 4 friends and get their money.
