yesterday there was a freeroll tournament with cash prizes dedicated to this event. The first place wins 61 dollars and the lowest 50 cents. I think it's still a game today, but i can't log into 888 now because it has an error.
I haven't played a live tournament and I don't believe I will ever play . Many are the expenses to go to another country , then you have accomodation expenses , etc etc . It's not easy I think yo move to another country to play a series of tourneys . But far too many are wealthy , pros are also wealthy , so no problem for them . It ends in two days ? Good luck anyone still playing it .
Playing live will have its costs, but it is worth it, the experience is totally different compared to online, it should always be done once in a lifetime, an experience of that game that one day you have decided to play.
Everyone will make their decision in the end, many like to play only online and others also experience playing live, it is a nice opportunity for tournament lovers to play this in this beautiful country, good luck to everyone.
There are not big live tourney series in Greece from great poker operators and companies like 888poker or PokerStars or anyone else . Expenses for travelling to another countries are very high. I guess if I ever decided to play on such a big tourney series , the only available country for me would be Cyprus. It's very close to Greece , affordable expenses , I know sone people from there . Some world series poker tourneys can be played there . I think 888poker has one tourney run at Cyprus , but I am not quite sure .
Also there are some promotions where if you win the sat , you win not only win the ticket for the target tourney , but also accomodation expenses and some cash to spend . That is a great opportunity ofcourse , on such a tourney most people could play . PokerStars has such offers . I don't know about 888poker whether it has or not .
I played in this freeroll 3 days in a row in 888 poker and the first two days i won 70 and 65 cents, but that's not the point. I liked this game and it is beautiful people must get there in that beautiful city.
